Mother's Day

Craig and I are planning to go to the cabin this weekend. So I called my kids to see if they wanted to have supper with me tonight and they said they could. So Aaron and I made up a menu. This morning Carrie called me to wish me a happy Mother's Day - it turns out that today is Mother's day in Guatemala. It is a much bigger holiday there. A lot of women don't go to work today. The schools put on programs for moms and then the kids are released for the rest of the day. I think it's pretty cool that we are planning to celebrate tonight, not knowing that it is Mother's Day where Carrie is. I can't wait to spend time with my kids - and grandkids. I just wish Carrie was here too!
