Wedding DIY projects

Carrie and I made several decorations for her wedding. We had a lot of fun browsing DIY blogs to find ideas, shopping for supplies, and making the projects. Do you like them?
We bought cheap wooden frames, spray painted them red or black, made balck and white copies of her and Mardo, and mounted the pictures on scrapbooking paper or sheets of music before putting them in the frames.  There was a picture for every table at the reception.
A second project was making books to have on the table for the guests to write notes to Carrie and Mardo. We bought inexpensive journals, covered them with black/white patterned scrapbooking paper, and decorated them.

Our third project was macthbox favors filled with chocolates at each place setting. We used a die cut from Stampin' Up to cut out the boxes. We filled the boxes with Hershey's Nuggets. They were a definite hit at the reception - it's hard to get chocolate like that in Guatemala.
Our fourth project were these flower cones decorating the aisle at the wedding. We bought patterned (embossed?) wallpaper at Menard's, cut it into 8.5x9 inch rectangles, spray painted them silver, and rolled them into cones. We used silver ribbon to hold them together and hang them from the chairs.

Our final project was designing a program for the wedding. You can see a picture of it at http://www.keelyjoyphotography.com/blog/
We used a stamp set from Stampn' Up.
The red and black theme for the wedding was fun to work with, and turned out so pretty. Don't you think?

Mom, you (and Carrie & Stephanie) did an awesome job creating and decorating everything. The wedding at the hotel was beautiful. Way to go! You've come a long way since Popsicle hockey sticks! (although you could be going to tournaments making and selling them).
