Cabin Projects

Craig and I love working on projects together at the cabin. We have quite a list of projects on our to-do list. Some are big. Like finishing the walls and ceiling in the family room.

Then there's the donwstairs. We have walls to finish, lots of taping and staining to do in several rooms. It's a huge project!
Or we could look outside to the addition that needs to be done where the original back door was.

A slightly smaller project would be to finish the inside of the picnic house.

Finishing the bathroom upstairs is another smaller project.

We're getting close to being done in there - just one more coat of mud for taping, then sand and paint the walls, and buy a mirror.
But when we're only at the cabin for the weekend, we just don't have time to tackle any of these. They will just have to wait until we havc more time.

So this past weekend, however, we decided to do a small project - installing a storm door.  I forgot that there's really no such thing as a "small" project. After reading the directions (over and over) and making numerous trips back and forth from the door to the garage for more tools, holding, measuring, cutting, nailing, etc... (4 hours later) we were able to stand back and admire our new storm door.

Isn't it a thing of beauty?
