Did I tell you about the flying squirrel?

Yesterday when we were at the cabin Craig looked out and saw a grey squirrel. We see them all the time during the summer - but not too often in the winter. So Craig called me over to the window - and as we watched, that squirrel took a flying leap from a pine tree on one side of the path to another tree on the other side of the path. He was at least 12 feet in the air and had to jump about 6-8 feet from one branch to the other! The branch he landed on bent way down, but he just scurried up it, across another branch and then he leapt to another tree. It was amazing!

We have the grey squirrels all year, and plenty of them. I love watching them jump from tree to tree. They are amazing acrobats!
