Painted Pumpkin

Remember the pumpkin I started painting last weekend?
 http://kristenbalvin.blogspot.com/2011/10/newest-diy-projects.html

I finished the monogram on it this week.

I printed off the letter on the computer - I found a font I liked, used the outline feature in the font tab, enlarged it, and printed it off. Then I took a piece of carbon paper and taped the paper with the letter on top of the carbon and onto the pumpkin. I traced around the letter with a pencil and the carbon copies it onto the pumpkin. Then I just painted it with a brush and my new favorite copper paint.
This picture was taken in my dining room, but the pumpkin actuallly is now sitting on the glass coffee table on my front porch. I think I need to pick up a couple of miniature orange pumpkins to arrange around this one, but I am definitely loving the look of this white monogrammed one.

Great idea; very cute! I love that shiny paint. I may have to give this a try ;)
