The view from here

This morning I was visiting a few blogs and read this line:

Wherever you are and whatever you are doing this morning, I hope you are enjoying the view.
(Thanks, Jen, for sharing this thought.)

It stopped me in my tracks. How often do I really stop and enjoy the view?
Sometimes it's easy.

Here are the views we had as we ate breakfast at the cabin this morning.

It's harder to appreciate this view:
until I stop and think about these things...

We had food to eat today. Not everyone has enough to eat.
I have a sink in whichi to wash the dishes, and running water. Not everyone has those "luxuries."
I didn't have to cook the meal - my husband made breakfast for us.

Thanks, Lord, for reminding me this morning to enjoy everything you have given me, for reminding me to slow down and really see the world around me - and to enjoy the view.

Mardo and I are super jealous of your views today (ok, maybe not the dirty dishes, but I had that view today too!)

Wish we could be there!
