What are you getting for Christmas?

Today is Christmas Eve, and families everywhere are exchanging gifts. There are piles of presents under the Christmas tree. Kids can't wait for tomorrow - to see what Santa brings.

But there are also families who are struggling financially. In their homes there are no Christmas presents under the tree - there isn't even a tree. There are people who are alone this Christmas, no family to celebrate the season with, no where to go.

However, there is a gift for everyone this season - it's wrapped in love, given with no strings attached. It fits perfectly, never goes out of style, and never breaks down.
James 1:17 says,

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights."

God gives perfect gifts to everyone who will accept them. And the greatest gift is Jesus Himself.
John 3:16 says,

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son..."

It is up to you and me to accept this gift. When we accept Jesus as our Saviour it's a gift that keeps on giving. We receive the promise of eternal life in heaven, but we also receive peace that passes understanding, the presence of the Holy Spirit to help us each day, wisdom through His Word, forgiveness for our sin, and so much more.

This Christmas won't you accept God's perfect gift of His Son? Just pray a simple prayer, letting God know that you need His gift, that you realize you're a sinner and that you accept Jesus as your Saviour. If you just ask Him, He will come and give you His perfect gift of love - Jesus.
It's the best Christmas present you will ever get.
"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!"  - 2 Corinthians 9:15

Merry Christmas!

Beautiful testimony of God's love you've shared. Where would we be without Him?
God bless!
